It's that time of the year again!

Can you believe it? We are already in November! This means a lot of things for college students. 1.) Registration for spring semester, 2.) Veteran's Day is soon. 3.) Thanksgiving Break is soon, as well. 4.) Finals and Winter break are going to be here before you know it--which means, so won't the Holiday Season and snow. Joy Joy...

Now, I am looking forward to the Holiday's, since I love the time with family, friends, the lights, sights and sounds of this time of year. However, this year, I am extremely poor. Now, also (as every year) I have 5 birthdays in the month of November and 1 in December--then Christmas. So, this time of the year realllly takes a toll on my wallet. These birthdays are my brothers, fathers, brothers g.f., sisters b.f, sisters (all in Nov.) and then my moms in December. So, they really are all birthdays that I probably should give at least a card! haha It is the thought that counts (thank God) and I am just really glad my family knows that I am running low on funds this particular year.

But, man....I still am amazed at how fast this semester/year is going!!! Sometimes, I like it. Other times, I hate it. But, in the end, I am really looking forward to the holiday parties, family, fun, food and (yes, I'll admit) even the presents! haha But, come on...who doesn't enjoy the presents?! lol

So, I'll leave you with this...What is YOUR favorite part about the holidays? Let's see how many different answers we can get. Mine are all of the ones listed above. The biggest favorite of mine: the lights, music and just being with the family....and ok, the food, too!

Your turn....

  2. J Beth this post is where its at, I'm with you on how fast this year seems to be going and I really like this time of year aside from the spending money part haha. But yeah I would say my favorite part of the holiday season is the break from school, its a no-brainer for me. This post has also inspired me to post something of my own so thanks for that.

  4. echo Liz, this post is definitely where its at. Other than the gaping hole in our wallets after the holiday season, I love spending time with my family too. Christmas is the one holiday every year where I know I will see my ENTIRE family.. which is huge! I'm the youngest of 32 cousins.. can you imagine our Christmas Yankee Swap? lol. I also enjoy any part of the year in which I'm not doing school work, so really looking forward to this break. Oh yah, and I'm going to the bahamas in a month. i''LLLLL send you a post card!
